Reconciling accounts is a feature where Blockpath checks the Bitcoin data within QuickBooks for accuracy.
We will look at the balance and transactions of each Bitcoin account within QuickBooks, and compare against current Blockchain data.
Blockpath automatically runs this reconciliation after various user actions, but we've made it available to be run manually for peace of mind when reviewing your finances.
Access the reconcile feature from the main QuickBooks App control panel within Blockpath:

How to Start the Reconcile Scan
Reconcile Window
Select which account you would like to reconcile. You can select all accounts, but it will take a longer time to complete.
Select the date to begin evaluating from. The default date selected will search through all of Bitcoin's history. For addresses with thousands of transactions, selecting a recent date can shorten the time required to reconcile.
When you click 'Begin', we will start looking at the balance and transactions that are stored in QuickBooks. If the data does not match Blockchain data, it will be shown in the table with a 'Not Found' label.
Note: Transactions with less than 6 confirmations will not be shown in the reconcile. Blockpath waits for 6 confirmations before importing transactions into QuickBooks.
Transactions Missing
How to Import Missing Transactions
If missing transactions are shown in the results table, click the 'Create TXs' button to re-import the missing transactions.
Please wait a few minutes for Blockpath to complete importing, as well as time for QuickBooks to update the information displayed to you.
What if balance is wrong but no transactions are missing?
In the unlikely scenario where all transactions are found in QuickBooks, but the account's balance is still wrong, you will need to manually find the incorrect transaction causing the error.
Note: We have occasionally seen QuickBooks show an incorrect 'Ending Balance' when viewing the account's register. However, the transactions are all correct, and the 'QuickBooks Balance' from the Chart of Accounts is also correct. We are working with QuickBooks to fix this bug.
Audit Accounts
After you have reconciled your accounts, if you still have an incorrect balance but are unable to find the error, you can perform an audit of your accounts to check for unwanted or modified transactions in your QuickBooks. Please refer to this guide for auditing.
